Getting started

Managing Recipe Ratings

Once visitors begin rating your recipes, you can review, approve, or remove ratings from the Ratings page. The Ratings dashboard provides tools to track rating activity, identify popular recipes, and moderate individual submissions. This guide explains how to interact with these tools and keep your ratings clean and accurate.

Recipe Ratings overview and moderation are available in Recipe Cards โ†’ Ratings.

Ratings Overview

The top section of the Ratings page includes several interactive panels that help you understand rating activity across your site. These panels allow you to quickly filter results and explore which recipes attract the most engagement.

How you can interact with the overview:

  • Switch between time ranges (All Time, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, This Year) to analyze trends.
  • Adjust the number of displayed results using the โ€œShow 10 / 20 / 30 / 40โ€ selector.

These tools help you understand which recipes perform well, which receive the most engagement, and how rating activity changes over time.

Moderating Ratings

Individual ratings appear in a list below the overview. Each rating can be approved, unapproved, or deleted. By default, all ratings are automatically approved, and only ratings that you manually unapprove appear highlighted.

How moderation works:

  • Click โ€œUnapproveโ€ to set an approved rating back to unapproved status (this is what causes the yellow highlight to appear).
  • Unapproved ratings are highlighted in yellow to help you identify entries waiting for review or intentionally unapproved.
  • Click โ€œApproveโ€ to approve a highlighted rating.
  • Click โ€œDelete Permanentlyโ€ to remove a rating completely from the system.

Tip: You can also use Bulk Actions to approve, unapprove, or delete multiple ratings at once, which helps moderate large volumes of user feedback efficiently.
