Recipe Card Blocks allows you to add links directly inside the Ingredients and Directions sections of a recipe. This is useful for linking to affiliate links, related content, product pages, substitutions, or additional instructions.
Links are added using the standard WordPress editor toolbar and do not require any special settings.
You can add links to ingredient names or specific words inside the Ingredients section.
1. Open a post containing a Recipe Card.
2. Locate the Ingredients section inside the recipe card.
3. Select the text you want to turn into a link.
4. Click the Link icon in the editor toolbar.
5. Enter or paste the URL.
6. Press Enter or click Apply to save the link.
The selected text will now be clickable on the front end.
Links can also be added to individual steps in the Directions section.
1. Open a post containing a Recipe Card.
2. Locate the Directions section.
3. Select the text within a direction step.
4. Click the Link icon in the editor toolbar.
5. Enter or paste the URL.
6. Apply the link.
This allows you to link to additional instructions, techniques, or related recipes directly from the cooking steps.
